Famine In Africa: Clinton Announces $17 Million More For Somalia, Wants Long-Term Solution

“I keep telling myself that I should look for solutions instead of always just pointing out what is wrong. My realistic side tells me that there is no hope. What would make us think we could do any better than the Romans? Realistically there is probably not a chance. I have this idealistic side that wants to keep trying. Here I am, an uneducated nobody, coming up with ideas. Granted they are not always that good. What I would like to know is why I am not seeing any ideas coming from our highly educated leaders? Why is it the media is not doing more to find answers to our problems? Even if a think tank of highly intelligent people came up with a good idea, it would probably need to make the right people money before it would even be considered. I can only think that there are those in high places that are happy with the status quo. And rightly so, their children are not being drafted to fight and they are making money the way it is. (Sorry my cynicism is showing again)”
