For America's Least Fortunate, The Grip Of Poverty Spans Generations

“If the GOP religious right are so concerned about the decline of the family and family values why is it they are working so hard to eliminate the middle class. Doesn’t a higher standard of living for all go a long way toward keeping families together? Come to think of it the answer is no. It actually seems as though, the poorer the people the more family orientated they are. Now I get it! The religious right think that poverty is a good thing. Lack of freedom also tends to keep family values high. There are parts of the world where people pretty much do as they are told to do by the religious powers to be and that keeps family values high. Now I understand the religious right. They only need to be careful not to make it so bad that they cause a revolution. The occupy movement is a example of how hard it is to control the people when they are given freedom. I wonder how long it will take the religious right to reduce our freedoms. They are working hard to undermine the Constitution. They act like they are all for the Constitution, but actually know that it provides the freedoms that are undermining are family values. I wonder if freedom will destroy family values and make them a thing of the past? I guess that every ones idea of what constitutes family values are different. That might make a good philosophical discussion.”
