What is really weird is that I have seen that same look in the eyes of a guy I worked with after he became a Jesus freak. I wonder if there is a connection. I do not believe that the guy I worked with was dangerous, but he was obsessed with religion. Maybe obsession is the connection.”
Here is a reply to this comment that I particularly liked. Follow by my acknowledgment to that fact.

“Its the look of those who are not connected with reality. That break can be caused by many things and in this case it is schizophrenia which is a profound brain malfunction of still unknown cause. The sufferers can in no way control their actions. The kind that you saw was a similar and less profound disconnect caused by learning. Humans exist in a world defined by created consciousness and if that mental structure is significantly impaired it will cause a disconnect with reality. This is sometimes called the "1000 yard stare" in PTSD effected soldiers. Their mind has literally rejected reality. It is an interesting observation that religion is one of the few ways in which learning can be distorted enough to cause a break with reality. This may even be why religion was created, as a way to brainwash subservient populations and control them without using armed forces. Enslave the mind and no real chains are needed. In any case, from the dawn of time, religion has been known to be a profound tool of mind control. Whole empires have been built around it. In fact there is no empire that has been able to exist without such a tool of mind control."

If he cannot keep us out of a depression, it might be better for the democrats if Romney wins. I just hope Obama can win and continue to keep us out of a depression. Not unlike the GOP wanting GM to go through bankruptcy, there are those in the GOP that would like nothing more than for this country to go into a depression. (Bankruptcy) They have accumulated a lot of cash and a depression would sure make their money worth a lot more. It would also bring America's cost of labor in line with that of China. You would need to be open minded, generous, favorable to progress or reform, favorable to or in accord with the concepts of maximum individual freedom possible, in favor of representational forms of government rather than aristocracies and monarchies and be against prejudice and bigotry.” The point that I really like to make about this is that it is right out of the dictionary, and that if that is no longer the definition of liberal, it is because the wealth controlled media have changed the meaning of it for the reason of wanting to divide and conquer. I believe that most people are liberals whether they know it or not.”

He is for getting rich and becoming richer. He know that a true fellow republican politician, also only really cares about money no matter what he says. He will say and do anything to get the rest of us to vote for a republican. He knows the ones who will vote for their cause rather than what is good for the country. He picks these to get votes from. He personally could care less about anything other than money. The rich are the minority and need the vote of the poor. So keep voting for your cause as you become poorer and poorer.”

The eight goals are as follows: eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, achieve universal primary education, promote gender equality and empower women, reduce child mortality, improve maternal health, combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases, ensure environmental sustainability, and develop a global partnership for development.
At the September 2010 United Nations Summit, Jorge Valero, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs stated: “Venezuela has achieved the majority of the Millennium Development Goals.”

How are jobs going to be kept in this country once they are created? And that is not bad enough, cheap labor is being imported into the country on top of all the illegal workers. The blacks experience more prejudice but the whites get to see the hidden prejudice of the whites a lot more than the blacks. All my life I have witnessed this, even with in my own family. Talking bad about blacks behind their back and acting nice to them when face to face. That I could see the wrong in this as a child made me not have much hope for humanity. If a child can see this, what is wrong with others. It has gotten a lot less down through the years, but is still there. The more inferior people feel about their selves, the more prejudice they seem to be. They look for those below them to feel better about their selves. It made me feel a little better about humans when Obama was elected. I will never understand a poor man voting for a republican. No matter what republicans say, they do not have your best interest at heart. That is not to say that all democrats have your best interest at heart. Oh and BTW, I did not grow up in the south.”

“I see from some of these comment that there are those that think they are too good to learn from others. This teacher is a good example of why we need teachers. Maybe she should start her own online teaching academia. She could probably get millions of children to attending her classes. This could make a case for doing away with schools and learning from the best, on line at home. People could obviously get and education without attending schools. So why don't they. Same reason for everything, money. The people making money from it want to keep it the way it is. We also go to school to make friends with others that will eventually help us to make money. The more well off your friends the better your chances become of making it in this world. Friends help friends. If your friends are from an ivy league school, the better your chances become for making it. You do not even need to do that well in school for this aspect of school to help you. If we were all educated at home using computers it would change our way of becoming friends with people who could help us. There would probably be a lot more people going to church for that reason. There would probably also be a lot more friend making over the internet. Might even be a day when you had to pay to have access to certain social sites. Sites only for the wealthy.”

It is going to be real hard to fix the world economy when the world manufacturing jobs are following the global unregulated cheap labor of the world. You can see it in Europe as well as here. Greece, Spain, Italy etc... The loss of manufacturing jobs has caused the US and Europe to lose a great deal of their tax base through the loss of jobs. They are all trying to cut back which only make it worse because of more job losses. In that Clinton, Obama or Romney makes no mention of it, nothing is going to be done to fix it. Bridgewater Founder Ray Dalio: Second Adolf Hitler More Likely In Weak Economy

Commented Sep 22, 2012 at 11:32:36 in Business

“Here is what I think has happened and the impending results. The world has been opened up to all of the unregulated cheap labor of the world. Manufacturing world wide has flocked to this cheap labor. The job losses caused by the loss of manufacturing has caused countries through out the world to see their tax base reduced. At the same time the unemployed have had to become, as the republicans would say, freeloaders, which is an even greater drain on the tax base. To compensate for this, government is cutting back by laying off government worker and doing away with social help of the ones being thrown out of work. This only adds to the problem. When these so called freeloaders find themselves unable to freeload any longer, many will pick up their guns (that the republicans have fought so hard to insure they have, I thank them for that) and use them for further freeloading. (By the way I am a liberal that has never been for gun control) In that the Hitler types usually prevail when guns get involved, I can also see a Hitler in our future.”

They might be able to blame Obama with a republican in there but it would probably be harder.” Could this the reason Romney is the republican candidate? Here is another thing that might be going down, making everything a moot point. Picture this happening, (without it even being a conspiracy, just the natural flow of things) all the super rich of the world globalize. They no longer have any need for nationality. They all work together. History shows that the rich eventually get over thrown by the poor when things get bad enough on the poor. Knowing this the global rich do not globalize the poor. Using the media of the world they keep them fighting each other (instead of them) indefinitely. Is that already happening? Just some thoughts. Who really knows what is going on?”

I wonder, have the rich ever been toppled in any other way than a revolution? I guess China could topple us economically with out a revolution but I have a feeling that the global rich are all in it together by now, and all believers in inequality, (billionaires and starving existing together being accepted), so that would also probably end in a revolution too. Commented Sep 12, 2012 at 14:16:45 in Politics

“I remember a teacher saying that communism was a good idea, it just does not work. The obvious reason for this would be that man is not good enough for it to work. How can that be true, me and my wife living together for over 50 years, and practicing communism shows me that me and her are good enough to be communists. We have shared equally for all of these years without being equal in our abilities. She is smarter than me and works harder yet she is willing to share equally. Our marriage problems have never been from equality. When you expand this communistic living to children and pets, it continues to work rather well. You might need to put pressure on a lazy child or husband to do their share. That would lead me to believe that the reason communism does not work on a larger scale is that not every one is good enough for it to work. The ones not good enough corrupt the system. This same thing seems to be true with capitalism. Corruption seems to be on the verge of destroying it. Not unlike communism, capitalism (according to father of capitalism,Adam Smith) is a way of keeping people relatively equal through competition and regulations. Socialism also has its problem with corruption although it does allow the poor to benefit from this corruption. That might be the reason capitalism and socialism together seem to fall more quickly. Can't have the rich and poor corrupt.”

I believe it is when your resources are not getting to the people for what ever reason. It can be that there are not enough resources or that they are not being shared. We might have enough resources, but if they are not getting to the people because we are unwilling or incapable of sharing we are over populated. Running out of resources will also comes into play, unless our technology become good enough to change any form of energy into resources. Will we ever make it to that? “They still do not seem to get it do they? It was not the banks and it was not wall street, unless you consider bond rating agencies part of wall street. It was the bond rating agencies like Standard and Poor's. If the rating agencies had rated the mortgage backed securities triple F instead of triple A, pension fund managers and other investors would not have bought them. Case closed! If every one would read “The Big Short” by Michael Lewis they would realize that the banks did not need to be bailed out. The ones needing bailed out were the ones that had sold insurance (credit default swaps) on the mortgage backed securities. AIG for one sold those credit default swaps and should be taking the bond rating agencies to court. Why are they not doing so? All in bed together, maybe? These bonds (mortgage backed securities) enabled banks to lend money risk free. The bond holders were the ones left holding the bag and the people who had bought insurance on the bonds made million. AIG and other insurance sellers stood to go under. So who should be going to jail? Rating agency CEO's? One of the big reason this all happened is that no one considered the fact that people were losing their jobs to China and would not be able to pay their mortgages.”

“Which came first the chicken or the egg? Sounds like a catch 22. Corporations are still being taxed when they go to china if they remain American companies and most of them do. I have always thought that it was stupid to tax corporations. They have always past it on to consumers. The bottom line is that we allowed corporations to move to where they could get cheap unregulated labor and in many cases not much regulation at all. In some countries they probably can pretty much do as they please. Now it will probably be necessary to tax those people making all of the money from this, in order to make up the difference caused by the loss of jobs. Also, loss of your tax base is not the only reason people need to have jobs. This could have been prevented if the American people had stopped buy American products made by cheap foreign labor when their fellow Americans were losing their jobs to this labor. Anyway the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer from what is happening. Getting rid of all corporate tax would stop some companies from becoming foreign companies and raising the tax on the wealthy might go a long way toward getting this country back on its feet.”

The rich are more likely to use that money for the purpose of eliminating their competition and preventing any progress that will hurt them. That makes them a lot more money than starting a new business. The oil companies are a good example. They use their money to stop the progress of alternative energy sources. Mitt Romney: Big Business 'Doing Fine' In Most Places

“Duh! Why wouldn't big businesses be doing well? The unregulated cheap labor of the whole world has been opened up to all the big businesses of the world. The countries offering this cheap labor also impose very little regulation on the companies. If the country that the big business comes from give it too much trouble it will just move somewhere in the world that lets it do what it wants. Now tell me how a small business can compete with that? If they do fine a niche and make it, the moment they become large enough they will also take advantage of cheap unregulated labor. This should lead to a time when there are only super rich and super poor. It did not take much thought to figure that out. If the Americans had only bought foreign products made by foreign manufacturers this could have been prevented and at the same time we would not have been protectionists. Too late now my friends. All we can do now is blame the President that did not cause this and probably could have done nothing to even slow this. It should not surprise anyone when unbridled capitalism leads to its down fall. A slave governed by the laws against animal cruelty would have it better than the laborer in the throws of unbridled capitalism will have it. This is becoming evident with the on set of global labor competition with out any global regulation. I do not see any way to prevented this from happening. You can start out with good intentions by regulating the capitalist, but as they gain money and power they will begin to make their own rules and regulations by controlling the minds of the people through the ownership of the news media. Even the father of capitalism, Adam Smith, warned of this. (URLen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Smith ). “Agreed. And while many like to look to the past and point fingers at Clinton for our economic situation today, it was actually that Conservative darling Reagan who initiated many of the free trade policies responsible for the gross outsourcing of American jobs. Reagan promoted and signed off on tax cuts that encouraged companies to shift manufacturing abroad, resulting in job loss and decreases in pay. At the same time, loosened regulations enabled banks to allow people to become swamped in credit card and mortgage debt, with a marked increase in interest rates. Republicans claim all this brought prosperity to the nation, but more than one hindsight observer has noted that essentially he paved the way for today's uber-rich 1%, while destroying the middle class.

Austerity of this kind is snake oil, peddled by the wealthy and powerful. They lick the spoon and say "It's good for you," but that's the largest dose they ever take; while the middle class and very poor are fed it by the bucketful and end up sicker than dogs.”

Dark Matter Near Sun Missing In New Study, Challenging Current Theories

Commented Apr 21, 2012 at 12:02:33 in Science

“I think that scientists should try using their imaginations more. For instants, we have no idea how fast we are traveling and in what direction relative to a dead stop. We could be accelerating and decelerating at enormous rates, causing enormous changes in mass. Greater speed equals greater mass. Could something like this be throwing off all of our calculation or would the mass change of our instruments and our selves negate that? Do we think that we know so much that we do not even consider these things? It just seems to me that our lack of imagination causes us to not consider enough of the possibilities ahead of time. Discovering that a theory is wrong should not be much of a surprise. What if the non reality side of quantum is correct and none of this is real? How hard would it be to figure out the physics of that? That could explain why we are having such a hard time with our theories. People need to stop thinking that they know so much and use their imaginations more. Do not get me wrong, I think that scientific study is wondrous.”

“Quantum theory is telling us that everything is non local, non real or both. The non reality side is looking more plausible all the time. Before you get to carried away with ridiculing me. 200 hundred years ago there were people knowledgeable enough to know that a video phone with access to almost all of the knowledge known to man was impossible and would have ridiculed anyone suggesting the possibility. Think about that. Funny how thinking that you know something can cause things to be impossible.”

“I think that this is a great thing. Without the churches bias it should produce a lot of non religious people. It is okay for people to believe in a God, but religion seems to only produce wars. Only one religion could be correct and all could be wrong. I can not believe the church is behind this. I will bet you that a lot of religious people will not allow their children to take religion in school.”

“I drilled a hole in a tree, inserted a copper wire. About 2 inches away I drove a galvanized nail into the tree. I hooked a voltmeter to them and measured .8 volts. I did this in several places and hooked them together in series and increased the voltage. If I ever buy an electric car I will try to charge it using my tree.:) Doubt any practicality, but thought it was interesting. It could be considered plant cruelty, so I promises that I will not do it again.”

Is Time Travel Real? Physicists Say It Happens All The Time

“No mention of the quantum possibility of non reality. If we are not real it opens up the possibility of our existing in a program. The programer could probably put us any where in time. It could sure explain some of the strange things people have claimed to experience. Like ghosts for one. Ponder that for a moment.”

“High school physics 1957 and one semester in 1963. Probably out dated at the time. You sure got me to thinking. How does the effects of gravity vs somethings own gravity differ? Would a clock run faster at a higher altitude due to less gravity? Is the clock running slower due to movement, independent of the increase in mass? Would an atomic clock run slower on Jupiter. I am definitely limited by my lack of knowledge. Some questions no one have the answers to. You did make me think of another way of seeing if a lead shield has any effect on an ether (energy field) if it exists. Weigh a lead container with a weight on top of it, then put the weight inside the lead container and see if there is any difference in the weight. Not sure if there were a weight difference it would be enough to be detected. No way to know how fast we are moving through space. If there was a weight difference, it might give us some idea as to how fast we are moving. I am sure your guess is as good or better than mine. I thank you for your comment.”

“It is legalized gambling. Advertize it as such and let the gambler beware. People not realizing that its no more than legalized gambling is the problem. People really do believe that they are investing. What a farce. I guess that you still need to regulate legalized gambling, but if people realized that they were gambling not investing maybe they would not be so willing to risk their money.”

“It is all about dividing the masses to get votes. A way to get a democratic to vote for a republican. Gun control vs non gun control. Conservative vs liberal. Black vs white. Religious vs non religious. And on and on. A true republican will not be divided, he know which side his bread is buttered on. I am a non rich, anti gun control dictionary defined want to be liberal and just like the republicans will not be divided.”

“You are right, and we seem to have very much in common. Looking around the world I would have to consider myself rich. I do consider one of my greatest wealth’s my ability to live with in my means and not be greedy. I should not have used all. Maybe I should have said that it appears to me that enough want to get rich for it to be a problem. I have been trying to use maybe, probably and it appears, a lot more in my writing. I keep having these relapses and seem to get called on it every time I do.”

“What happened to the day when one income was enough, and women had the choice to stay home and raise their children. It seems that unions were directly proportional to that ability. Money problems also has had a lot to do with the divorce rate, which has just added to the problem. Of course the greed of all has contributed to all of this. People have brought a lot of this on themselves. Buying products made in China by American companies, after your fellow American lost his job because of it, is one example. I contribute a lot of what has gone down to our pie in the sky mentality. We all want to get rich no matter who might suffer in the process.”

Were the cheap bonds bought up by the banks for the purposes of acquiring rent houses? Wow, that would be a smart play. Even smarter if they used bailout money for that purpose? Homophobes Gay? Study Ties Anti-Gay Outlook To Homosexuality, Authoritarian Parenting

Commented Apr 11, 2012 at 18:48:20 in Science

“In that we seem to be on different wave lengths, I will try even harder this time to communicate with you. I have completely accepted homosexuality. I hold absolutely no ill feeling toward homosexuality. I feel that this is partially because of my ability to use my intellect to control my emotions and natural instincts. I feel that there are those that can not do the same. From your emotional responds and taking what I wrote completely wrong, you may be one of them yourself. If you where not gay you might hate homosexuality. You seem to be reacting just like those you despise. So let me try again to communicate what I was trying to say. I believe that a lot of people that are not gay see gays as not normal because they see themselves as normal. If their animal instinct are telling them to get rid of the abnormal, (and this could be happening at the subconscious level) they will need their intellect to tell them other wise. If these instincts are too strong in them to over come this with intellect, they need to be locked up, and a lot of times are. If I had to walk in your shoes I would probably better understand your reaction to what I wrote. I still believe that survival is at the root of almost all human behavior and that we need to use our intellect at times to control these instincts.”
