“I remember a teacher saying that
communism was a good idea, it just does not work. The obvious reason
for this would be that man is not good enough for it to work. How can
that be true, me and my wife living together for over 50 years, and
practicing communism shows me that me and her are good enough to be
communists. We have shared equally for all of these years without
being equal in our abilities. She is smarter than me and works harder
yet she is willing to share equally. Our marriage problems have never
been from equality. When you expand this communistic living to
children and pets, it continues to work rather well. You might need
to put pressure on a lazy child or husband to do their share. That
would lead me to believe that the reason communism does not work on a
larger scale is that not every one is good enough for it to work. The
ones not good enough corrupt the system. This same thing seems to be
true with capitalism. Corruption seems to be on the verge of
destroying it. Not unlike communism, capitalism (according to father
of capitalism,Adam Smith) is a way of keeping people relatively equal
through competition and regulations. Socialism also has its problem
with corruption although it does allow the poor to benefit from this
corruption. That might be the reason capitalism and socialism
together seem to fall more quickly. Can't have the rich and poor
corrupt.”
