Rick Santorum Questioned Obama's Faith In 2008, Said There's No Such Thing As A Liberal Christian

“Here is what it would take to be a liberal according to the dictionary. You would need to be open minded, generous, favorable to progress or reform, favorable to or in accord with the concepts of maximum individual freedom possible, in favor of representational forms of government rather than aristocracies and monarchies and be against prejudice and bigotry. Santorum thinks that a Christians could not be liberal? Interesting!”

With more whites at the top than blacks, it only makes sense that they have a better chance at finding work. That is also the main reason a person need to go to college. You will make friends with those more likely to be in a position to hire you. The better college you can afford, the higher class of people you are going to make friends with. There is a lot more to making it than just hard work. Luck also plays a big role.”

Now they are screaming for jobs, but who would want to hire them when they can hire illegals and better educated people from around the world that will work for almost nothing. The only reason any Americans have jobs is because businesses are not allowed to import labor, but you can bet that is in the works. Some think that we need a God to tell us right from wrong. We are in big trouble if we can not tell right from wrong with out believing that a God must tell us. It should come from within, using emotions and intellect. The fear of a God or the law are lousy reasons for doing the right thing.”

Senate Democrats: Income Inequality Will Drive Politics Of 2012, Hurt Republicans

Commented Nov 29, 2011 at 14:40:00 in Politics

“I see the biggest problem causing the inequities in the world is thievery. (another word exploitation) The sad part is that it is not always illegal. The S&P bond ratings are an example. It is like accepted as something that nothing can be done about. If the thievery gets too in our faces, we make a new law against it, that no one has any intention of enforcing. It looks to me like the biggest thieves are the ones yelling the loudest to stop all regulation. This stealing is probably the biggest source of all government programs not working. This is what causes everyone to be against any social programs no matter how well intended they might be. This thievery is at every level of society. Many of the poor probably think they need to do it to survive. The rich are doing it to get richer. Most see it as a reality that nothing can be done to stop. I guess that is why so little is said about it directly. The money that it would take to enforce our rules and regulation would be astronomical. The ones doing a lot of the stealing are our politicians. They are the ones that would need to allocate the money to fight against the stealing. Our we doing an injustice to our children when we teach them to be honest? It almost looks that way sometimes. Sad! Sorry, I see the problem but do not see the answer.”

“How can anyone be stupid enough to think that the poor are exploiting the system more than the rich. The only reason the poor ever get to exploit the system is so a rich man can get richer from it. If you do not believe that, look at how much of the money that was given to the American Indians got to them. Almost all of it was stolen, and I am sure it was not a poor man that stole it. The executive branch of our government does almost nothing to stop the thievery that is going on at every level. Is it not the executive branch that is suppose to enforce the laws? In that the money to get the job done must come through congress, what are the chances of anything being done? Republicans would call that money entitlements. Providing that money would stop entitling the rich to stealing. Our politicians could not let that happen. That is probably how they make their money. The media sure likes to push the lie that entitlements for the poor are one of this countries biggest problems. Not surprising when you look at who owns the media.”

And if it does go away it will probably return. Maybe not with the same name. I would venture to say that Egypt, Libya, Syria and England are symptoms of the same problem, some rich are not happy until they have it all. Just because the poor rise up and do the rich in does not mean that things will get better. In fact they always get worse, but if you are all ready in a hurt, what does it matter? “Austerity is what the GOP is all about. People through out the western world are loosing their jobs to the cheap labor of the world. This causes less tax revenue, and for the government to start laying off workers, which in turn causes more lost tax revenue by loss of jobs and trying to take care of the unemployed. In some cases it will spiral into civil war. You could just not take care of the laid off workers, but that could also cause civil unrest leading to war. How do you get the jobs back in time to prevent all of this? Tariffs maybe. I know one thing that does not help, austerity. Neither candidate seems to have the answer, but one will not try to use austerity. Oh and most jobs that are created will quickly move to the cheap labor so maybe tariffs are the answer. Vote Obama!”

Americans, they gave their jobs to China by not buying American when their manufacturing jobs were moving to China. (That is why Europe is collapsing too) The cheap labor is causing corporation to be doing just fine. After people lost jobs and could not pay for their homes, they blamed the banks. The financial institutions got into trouble by lending to people that were losing their jobs. Then the Americans voted for a President that truly wanted to help them. They ridiculously believed that he should be able to get their jobs back for them, right away. Because he did not they turned around an voted in Politicians that are doing everything they can to keep him from helping. They are family orientated and a very friendly and happy people. It is the Americans that are buying most of the drugs. I liked your comments, but think that you are wrong about the cartel being capable of competing. If the drugs were legal the Mexican cartel would turn into a legal corporate business that would probably go bankrupt from all of the world competition. If countries produced it and made it free (not a chance of that happening, but if they did), the cartel would definitely need to turn to other crime, and that is not to say they would not, but they would not be able to make money from drugs. If they were capable of competing, it would be a legal business that would provide jobs and eliminate the need for violence. The US at one time had a alcohol cartel, (organized crime) with the legalization of alcohol that cartel is not as much of a problem as it was and would be even less of a problem if all drugs were legalized. There are some thing that can not be legalized, so we will always have some problems to cope with.”

Thinking that you have provocation is not enough to make killing an innocent person a killing and not a murder, so society is committing murder when it kills an innocent man. Are you saying that it is morally okay for the society to commit murder because they thought they had provocation? It sounds like you are trying to say that the morals of the society should be followed no matter what. It seems to me that is the same mentality that caused people to not question Hitler and to have also burned witches in Salem. Funny that I have never heard of any one on death row killing anyone. So much for that argument. After your argument supporting the death penalty, how could you say getting rid of it would be okay if the law changed? I know, because the moral standards of the society are always right. That seems kind of like mindless following. Our forefathers seen that what the society wants is definitely not always correct. That is the reason they wrote the constitution. To protect people from themselves. People would make laws and vote away all of their freedoms if it was not for the constitution. So much for the morals of the society. They are largely governed by emotions.”

Once you kill an innocent person and find out that they were innocent you can not bring them back. If you can still condone this, I am definitely a better human than you.”

“Here is a comment that I replied to: “There have been some but You say many... how many??
Would you be as benevolent if the person the perpetrator killed was a relative of yours?”
My reply: There have been 138 innocent people on death row released since 1973, and I will bet that you are still for the death penalty. What on earth does my benevolence have to do with putting, or not, an innocent person to death? Since when has, how you or I feel about something, become a determination of right and wrong? I thought that our intellect not our emotions was how we decide right from wrong. I am a very revengeful person. I love revenge movies, but my intellect will not allow me to go there in reality. If I could be 100% sure that a person was guilty, I would feel like putting them to death, but will never think that the way I feel about it should be allowed to control my intellect. In that it has been shown that being 100% sure is not being accomplished a large amount of the time, I will repeat, how can anyone be for the death penalty? Intellect tells me that it is just wrong to kill anyone. That it is only my desire for revenge that is telling me other wise. I hope that my intellect is always capable of rising above my animal emotions.”

Obama Approval Rating: Likability Factor Keeping President Afloat

Commented Sep 24, 2011 at 17:32:09 in Politics

“Ask yourself, are you one of those people that was buying cheap foreign cars and products while your fellow Americans were loosing their jobs to cheap foreign labor. Now you are most likely paying for it and blaming the President for not quickly fixing it all for you. Sorry it does not work that way, you will probably now be forced to go through a depression and work as cheaply as the foreigners are. The funny thing about it is that you were warned by Ross Perot, of all people. They were laughing at him at the time. Who is laughing now? Now those same people that did not listen to Ross will run out and vote republican, making things even worse, all the while blaming Obama for it all. Oh well, at least there is some sweet justice in it all. Some of the guilty, like myself, will suffer.”

The spin of two separated particle has changed instantaneously with the spin change of the other no matter how far apart they are. I also read that quantum theory is tell us that everything is non real or non local or both. That told me, duh, nobody really knows what is going on. I personally have the feeling that everything is non real and non local. It would be like when you are watching a live tornado on your living room TV. The tornado is not really in your living room so it is non real at that location. The tornado is also non local isn't it? Could it be that everything in existence is some kind of a projection? I like to say that it is only when you think that you know what you are talking about that things become impossible.”

Unbelievable! I have to wonder how they would feel if a loved one of theirs was put to death while being innocent. They sure get upset about the victim being put to death innocently, but when our justice system does the same it is okay. Strange. Am I the only one that has noticed how many of these people are to the right politically? I guess that I will have to rethink my believing that all people are basically the same. Or add at birth. My fear is that the right wing republicans will get into the presidency. Yes it could very well be that Obama has compromised too much. Here is what I am worried about. In that Obama might have used a persons championed cause as a compromising tool to get republican votes on something he was trying to get through, will cause that person to vote for the republicans. That would be playing right into the republicans hands. I do not think that it is going to help their cause by putting the fox in the hen house. Getting that persons vote is probably the reason the republicans wanted to get Obama to use their cause as a compromise to start with. I get this feeling that a certain group of wealthy have control and probably not much can be done. There is probably nothing that I could do or say to change anything even if I knew what I was talking about.

Obama Jobs Plan: $447 Billion, More Than Half In Tax Cuts, To Be Paid For By Super Committee

Commented Sep 10, 2011 at 08:09:51 in Politics

“Look, I am one of Obama's biggest fans. He works harder, cares more and is more intelligent than any president that I have seen lately. In that you do not seem to be a republican, I decided to give you the courtesy of a responds. Realistically speaking Obama's hands have been tied by the republicans. I was just trying to come up with an idea that both sides could live with. That in its self is not realistic, but in that I am a want to be liberal, I am sometimes more idealistic than realistic. It seem to me that our jobs are being lost to the cheap labor of the world. Americans chose to buy cheap foreign products while their fellow Americans were loosing their jobs because of it. At one time we could have bought American to prevent the loss of jobs. It is now too late. We no long manufacture much of anything. I believe that the human is capable of providing the survival needs and more for every one on earth. We have the technology and resources to do so if we had the will. My idea was to give businesses cheap labor and at the same time subsidize the worker to the point of having a decent wage. There are more workers than jobs in this country and people need to be taken care of one way or another. Right now charity tries to take up the slack, but cannot handle it. Socialism of different kinds helps out. Cheap subsidized labor would pull manufacturing jobs back into this country and at least we would be helping people that were working rather than helping people who were not. This would also get rid of all illegals. Of course rules and regulation would be needed to stop any abuse by companies. (enlightenment) As for being small minded, every time I think that I know something, I become small minded and I do that often. No hard feelings!
My creed: It is only when you think that you know what you are talking about, that things become impossible.”

Allow small manufacturing businesses to pay as low of a wage as the cheapest labor in the world if they hire the unemployed. Stop all unemployment benefits and use that money to subsidies the low paid workers that have been hired by the small manufacturing businesses. This would allow a small business in this country to compete with the corporations through out the world. I know, this idea would cause some problems, but they could be addressed. Rather than looking for reasons why this would not work, try looking for ways to improve it. If I had time to sit and think about it, I'll bet you that I could come up with even more ways to create jobs. What are our politician do?”

In that the accomplishments to date have caused the gap between the rich and poor to widen and the middle class reduced, could it be that Carter actually accomplished a lot by not adding to that. I think that Obama would have been better off not trying to accomplish anything. I think that this system is probably completely controlled by the wealthy. In that we were headed for a depression Obama was forced into doing something. A depression will allow the rich to get even richer, so it will still probably happen. The only way Obama has been able to accomplish any thing is to compromise in ways that allow the rich to get richer. Probably the only reason that Obama got the health care through was that the media completely turn the public against it and it became so compromised that the rich seen a way to make money from it. I feel that the poor have been so divided by the wealth owned republicans media, that it is all over but the crying. Here is what I see as the ultimate division accomplished by the republicans. They can only survive by choosing to fight for one war lord or another. Many if offered would jump at the opportunity to join in with other displaced peoples and form an International army.  Safe havens could be found for this purpose. The whole world could join the effort. Feed and house them while at the same time sending them to school, teaching them democracy, capitalism and constitutional government.(Especially the separation of church and state.)  Under the guidance of the US, those that wanted to become soldiers for the purpose of one day liberating their countries and forming a new democratic government, could do so. There is no doubt in my mind that all of this could be done a lot cheaper than the cost of what is going on now. The US is now spending untold amounts of money on weapon-try that can not be used in the fighting that is going on today. Half of what we have cannot be used due to not being able to identify the enemy. This army could identify the enemy.”

They continued to buy American products made in foreign countries while their fellow Americans lost their jobs. If Americans wanted to reverse this they could not. There are no longer any American made products to buy. Even if there were, why would people do it? They did not care before, why should they care now? There are still a lot more people working than not. If the wealth owned media had used its influence to start with, it might have been able to stop the American people from buying non American products from American companies. Why should they have, it is obvious from the continued record earning by these American corporation in foreign countries that it does not matter weather or not all of the American people have jobs. The people that still have jobs also do not care. That was seen with the voting for the Tea Party. The global economy does not need America workers any more to make money.”

They are all so above the people that do just like them when they cheat on their taxes. Welfare and the rich have found loop holes in the system, and cheater are just out right stealing. They are all not doing the right thing. Why isn't more being done to stop all of it? The rich do not want the cheating and loop holes for them stopped, and they are in control. Why aren't the welfare recipients stopped? It is probably because the rich can use it as a way to keep every one against socialism.”

It might not be long before the only change you are going to see is in which rich mans candidate gets elected, Democrat and or Republican. If you are poor or middle class, you have been divided to the point of not having a voice. Where do we go from here? Up if you are rich and down if you are poor or middle class. It use to be that with hard work and a little luck you could at least become middle class. In that I do not see any way to reunite the people, it looks to me like those days are over. Of course I could be wrong, (hope so) but I have this strong feeling that I am not. I do not know that Obama is not bought and paid for by the wealthy. In that they are nearly in complete control I do not see that it matters. It would seem to be that he could very well be one of the most intelligent, most hard working and most caring President this country has ever seen, so I will with hold judgment for now. That said what could he possibly accomplish in this dieing system?”

Anti-Abortion Laws: States Pass Record Wave Of Abortion Restrictions

“I think that a woman should have the right to make the abortion decision, even though I am not a big fan of abortion. I am even less of a fan of wars, disease and starvation brought on by over population. Why is it that these anti abortionists are not up in arms about that. Don't people that are already alive count. We probably have enough resources and technology on earth today to make us not over populated, and everyone well off. A lot of the same people that are all up in arms out abortion, are probably also the ones that believe that it is okay for some people to make 500 times more that others only working maybe 2 times as hard, or in some cases not working at all. The only way that this could be right, is after every man woman and child on earth is taken care of. You bleeding heart conservatives, get up in arms about the thousands of lives that are lost due to our not sharing.”

Ronald Reagan Hailed By Liberals In Debt Fight

“What a lot of people do not realize is that there are probably rich among us that would like nothing better than for this country to go into a depression. There are those that would probably not only not be hurt by it they would benefit highly. Their money could buy up everything cheaply in a depression. Could those be the same ones wanting the U.S. to default on its debt? Not only could they accomplish what they want, they could blame it on Obama.
Then again is it really a bad thing? It would probably end up reducing our national debt and help the people who really matter (the rich) and get rid of some of the ones who do not (the poor). The poor that survive would be willing to work for Chinese wages and the U.S. could be more competitive. Hey, can you argue with that?”

3 Simple Things to Do Today Instead of Saying

“In that the gap between the rich and poor is growing faster every day I would venture to say that the rich have divided the poor to the point of just about having complete control. Looking at history have you ever seen a time when the rich needed a large middle class, to get richer or to stay rich? Think about it. I would even go so far as to say that a large middle class has only slowed them down due to the competition of the new wealthy it produced, and worse yet for them, some of the new wealthy actually want to give back. No wonder the rich are working so hard to eliminate the middle class.”

Michelle Obama Speech At DNC Goes Viral In China

My thought for today. No matter how you slice it, it is just wrong that there are billionaires and people starving to death on the same planet. Some are trying to correct it by giving to charity and others are using terrorism. Neither will work because the cause is not being addressed. I would point out the cause, but it would be venomously denied. Hint, most peoples desire for wealth will never let them go there. It is so heartening to see how compassionate and caring people can be at times. I just wish there was some way for this to override the greed. I do not even think that most are greedy, many want more just so they can take care of their own and others. This article gives one hope.
